This is the third installment in the Noodle Shop Mysteryseries. This time, there’s a noodle contest in Asia Village, all is going well until one of the judges is found dead, and Lana, once again, puts her wits to work to solve the murder.

Overall, a quick, lighthearted, fun read. I recommend it to read ...more
Murder Lo Mein is the third book in the Noodle Shop Mystery series by Vivien Chien and it is just as enjoyable as the other books in the series. There are plenty of red herrings and twists thrown into the story. I had no idea who the killer was until the reveal happened in the b ...more

The Noodle Shop Mystery books are fun, quick reads. Able to be finished in a day, they're lighthearted but this series in particular has substance. I loved the food contest setting, and I began to feel creeped out right along with Lana as she mysteriously was given a fortune cookie just like all the murder victims. I like how the spotlight was on Adam a little bit - we learn more about him and we see he and Lana grow in their relationship. This is book #3 but the quality in this series doesn't w ...more
At one time, Lana Lee saw herself as a corporate hotshot wearing stiletto heels (even though they make her feet hurt after 15 minutes). A local food critic and one of the judges of the contest, receives a threatening note in a fortune cookie and is later found dead, face down in a bowl of lo mein. When Lana recei ...more
